Lauren
Retirement can look different for everyone. For Lauren, it looks like going back to work, even in her retirement years.
“I failed retirement, I went to back to work three times.”
But now after her third go at retirement, it has allowed Lauren to spend a lot more time with her grandchildren. She now has the time to help pick them up from school and attend the many extracurricular activities they are involved in.
This new chapter in Lauren’s life has also allowed her to spend her time giving back to her community by volunteering with CASA for Children.
“I am on the board of CASA which involves volunteering at different events, coordinating fundraising and, helping the organization.”
But overall, Lauren says:
“From my perspective, it’s really all about family. When you’re working your attention is always divided and you make a lot of compromises. Now I’m able to put my family first.”
